Is india issuing tourist visas? GOOD NEWS! πŸ˜€πŸ§

Is India issuing tourist visas? The short answer is YES! We finally can! Read this blog to find out everything you need to know NOW!😁 I have been waiting for this for two long years and now the time has come.

As of November, 15th 2021 India will be allowing foreign tourists into its borders on a tourist visa. The permitted stay is much shorter than before and British nationals can not use the E-Visa service. You must also pass a covid swap before and after take off. In addition, you must also pass the specifications of the Indian government.Β

Before I go on, it is important to remember any visas that were pending are now invalid and you will have to apply again. If you apply for your visa before the 15th it will not be valid until then.

There is a reason why you want to apply for an Indian Visa

India is a place that has been drawing in tourists for a very long time and now they will be drawing them back. Be it your own personal spiritual quest or an outdoor adventure into the wilderness, India has you covered.

Changes to the validation for Your Indian Visa

There have been some significant changes to the validation of your Indian Visa. We used to be able to apply for six months or even a year, but for now, it has been dramatically reduced. Visas are currently valid for 120 days with a maximum stay in India of 30 days. It is not great but better than nothing right?

UK visa restrictions

UK travel restrictions have changed as well. Don’t ask me why or when it will change, but citizens of the united kingdom are NOT allowed to use the online visa application for India. Instead, we have to use the old and very complicated VFS global service. I have a whole post on how to use VFS global’s application service. so check it out if it applies to you.

There is many good reasons to apply for an Indian Visa

Here is one of the key reasons why people want to visit India at all. The Taj Mahal is the epitome of beautiful Indian architecture, although there is so much more here. This elegant building sits along the Yumana River that runs through the whole of Uttar Pradesh. Check out the link to see what other wonders this incredible state harbours.

Mandatory PCR test

Obviously, you will have to take a mandatory PCR test before you fly from your home country and everyone has their own policies. However, most nations insist no more than 72 hours prior to departure. The good news is you get to take another one when you arrive on the other side at whatever airport you land in. Of course, you have as just as good a chance as any to get Covid 19 in India, but that is neither here nor there.

India has many reasons to visit and there has never been a better time to apply for a visa.

I have been researching is India issuing tourist visas for months and now the answer is hell yes!!

India’s quarantine policy

Now let’s take a quick look at India’s quarantine policy. If you have been double vaccinated and the process was completed 15 days prior to your departure AND also arriving from India’s category A countries with a negative PCR test you dont have to quarantine. Phew, that was a lot of conditions, but your chance for the adventure of a lifetime makes it all well worth it, doesn’t it? Check online for changes to India’s list of category A countries as this can change at a moments notice. There seems little point in listing them for that reason.

If you need to be quarantined for any reason you will be allowed to go to any destination of your choice like a hotel or your friend’s house and stay there for 7 days. Then if you pass a negative PCR test you will be free to go as long as you monitor your health for a further 7 days.

If you are double vaccinated with a who approved vaccine you such as Physer, Astra Zenica, Merderna etc you will not have to quarantine as long as you don’t have it.

We all want an indian tourist visa for a reason.

There is a good reason we were all wondering is India issuing tourist visas as this is a country with many faces. India does not only offer a fantastic bang for your buck. It is also rich in culture and incredibly diverse.

Returning to your home country

Now you have had the trip of a lifetime it is time to think about returning to your home country. Every country has its own conditions and I implore you to know them in detail to save any complications later.

In the UK the government expects you to have a negative PCR test and to have a completed passenger locator 48 hours in advance. If you are not fully vaccinated you will have the pleasure of paying for two additional PCR tests. One before and one 7 days after your travel.
